If your wedding was way too stressful and you didn’t get to enjoy it/didn’t have a wedding film, a vow renewal is the perfect way to express your love to each other.

Jacque and Justin had a small covid wedding and didn’t get to truly experience their wedding like they wanted to. When they reached out to us a year after their wedding and shared their story, we knew a vow renewal would be perfect for them (they also said that they didn’t hire a wedding filmmaker for their wedding and they didn’t want to make that mistake again for their vow renewal). J + J wanted to recommit themselves, but this time without all the stress of a big wedding and have it just be them two at Cannon Beach,Oregon.

Their vow renewal was in March and most of the time at the coast in late winter can be pretty windy and rainy. But on this day it was absolutely perfect. It was sunny, with a little cloud coverage and it wasn’t windy or too cold.Perfect for filming🤌🏽 They both got ready at their airbnb and then we drove up to some scenic spots along the coast for their first look and portrait session. During their portrait session, we were able to see a pack of elk and WOW they are huge animals up close! Such an amazing experience🙌🏽 After J+J’s first look and portrait session, we drove down to the beach where they bared their wild souls to each other. We loved that they became emotional during their letters.

After they read to each other, we had some fun on the beach. They ran along the ocean shore, not afraid to get their feet or outfits wet even though the water was frigid. Holding each other in front of Haystack Rock and drinking champagne out of the bottle. At the end of the day, ( this is in the film too) Jacque was emotional and said how this vow renewal felt way more real than her wedding. This definitely got us tearing up too🥹

So a reminder to do what feels right for you and your partner. Just say when and where and we’ll doucment those moments so you can watch them over and over again 🙌🏽🤙🏻
